Hey, all. This is a difficult post to write, and it will be somewhat long, but I’m DESPERATE for HELP.

Please take a few minutes to read, and I’d appreciate SHARING the info in whatever manner; you can copy & paste, I just can’t make this post public.

It’s totally humiliating, but here goes:

Pico & I are about to be homeless pretty soon.

I’ve been looking into housing / relocation programs by Clark County, state programs, you name it. Because I’m not a senior citizen, a drug or alcohol addict, etc…, I don’t qualify for any programs so far that would put me in an apartment or even hotel. I’m still trying & making calls & sending emails, but so far, it’s just being told to try the next number, and so on.

Because I have up to two more surgeries to go, I cannot start & stop work anywhere for the 4-6 week recovery needed after each, and I don’t have dates, because I’m waiting on the next surgery to be scheduled still due to hospitals filling up again with COVID patients.

I’m on NV Medicaid, which covers the treatment/surgeries.

I’m on Soc Sec Disability, which only pays for bills, no expenses, and certainly not enough to add rent to the mix. Disability income cannot exceed the Medicaid limit, or I’ll lose what’s paying for my treatment/recovery. If I work, I lose the disability assistance.

I cannot stay where I am now - many of you don’t know that I’ve been living with someone as an ex, and we can’t continue to live together for many reasons, including he has started a new relationship.

I can only “pay” in personal training services, reiki services, or cleaning & cooking, maybe, until I’m done with surgeries and can document working, which means deliberately preparing for losing one or the other benefit that’s helping me survive.

Pico & I just need somewhere non-toxic & no drama, if that’s at all possible, to go for, I’m guessing, 6 months?

I’ll continue to search for programs, and if you have any links to forward to me, I’d really appreciate if you filter them out first before sending, in case they don’t apply to me. I’m overwhelmed as it is.

If anyone has a spare room, I don’t know how I’ll pay for a storage unit for my stuff, but that’s a minimal concern compared to what’s at stake right now.

I don’t care if you’re in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, or California. As long as it’s not much more than a 6 hour drive to Vegas, so I can go to my doctor’s appointments/follow ups, spend the night if needed, and drive back…

Jon and I did the math and based on housing (1 bedroom) in Las Vegas (Where Bo's doctor is) for up to 1 year, plus living expenses: Food, medication, utilities, gas for her car, we have calculated the amount of $25,000.00 as the goal. Any amount is incredibly appreciated!
