Help Bluey Heal After a Traumatic Ordeal
Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits. My stepson James Pipes and my daughter‑in‑law Kristen Pipes' beloved dog, Bluey, went missing the day before Valentine’s Day. After weeks of searching, praying, and fearing the worst, she was finally found a few days ago — alive, but in heartbreaking condition.
Bluey came home extremely underweight and missing her back right leg. We don’t know what she went through during the time she was gone, but it’s clear she fought hard to make her way back to her family. Next week she will hopefully undergo surgery to properly amputate and treat the injury so she can begin healing safely and comfortably. But first, they are focused on needing her to gain some weight. Since she is extremely under weight they can't proceed with the surgery just yet. Right now they are keeping her comfortable and well fed.
This young family is raising twin boys on a fixed income, and while they are endlessly grateful to have Bluey home, the medical costs are overwhelming. Her recovery is their top priority, but the financial burden is significant and unexpected.
If you’re able to contribute — whether through a donation or by sharing this page — it would mean the world to them. Every bit of support helps Bluey get the care she needs and gives this family some relief during an incredibly stressful time.
Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, and for helping Bluey get her second chance.
