Blu's backstory is sad but also so special. He helped save Chelsea during the darkest moment of her life. Truly a guiding light. Blu helped save her just as much as she saved him. (Blu Christmas is a rescue that was literally thrown from a car on the night of Christmas Eve 2022, 21 days after she lost her brother..he was on side of the road with infections, bald spots, and only weighing 13lbs, he is now a healthy 25 lbs)

Our beloved Blu recently needed urgent medical treatment and required a critical surgery for IVDD (Intervertebral Dics Disease). A disc had ruptured in his spine, causing paralysis of his hind legs.

His spinal surgery was performed at NC Sate Veterinary Hospital Neurology Department. Along with making small holes in other discs in his spine to help prevent this from happening in his future.

The cost has amounted to $15,000. Emergency Veterinarian Exam, MRI, Emergency Spinal Surgery, hospitalization, medicine, and future physical therapy and follow-up appointments with his Neurologist.Which was far beyond her unexpected emergency fund.

We have set up this fund for Blu to offset substantial unexpected Hospital/Veterinary bills.
