Hi everyone,
On Wednesday, August 27th, I received news that my baby girl Blu has been diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. A mast cell tumor is a type of skin cancer that can form in lumps or bumps within the skin and can be very aggressive and unpredictable.
Blu is an 8, almost 9-year-old pitbull with the gentlest soul, and we have been doing life together since she was only 6 weeks old. She is my absolute world, my constant source of love, comfort, and joy. Anyone who knows me, knows Blu. We are a team and the best of friends.
After speaking with Blu's vet, it became clear very quickly that her mast cell tumor is located in a very difficult spot, and the surgery, which is an urgent need, is complicated and complex. Due to this, Blu is required to see an oncology specialist for treatment, which is incredibly expensive, and I am heartbroken to say that I just can't afford it right now as I am currently a full-time student working through my Mortuary Science program.
With that being said, my number one priority right now is to do all that I can to care for my baby and give her the life I know she deserves. She's still so full of life, and I know in my heart that she has many great years ahead of her if we can give her this surgery.
If you are able to donate or even just share this post, it would mean more than you know to me and Blu.
Thank you so much for supporting.
Thank you so much for reading.
Thank you so much for caring.
With all of our love,
Azia and Blu
