Help Blu Breathe Again: Surgery Fund

Hi, I'm Abel and my dog that I consider my son is Blu. He's a husky and is 7 years old. Recently, he's had lung problems after a hike (which wasnt unusual for him as we take him out all the time) and now has air pockets that fill his lungs and needs surgery. He's always been healthy and a happy doggy, but he's changed drastically and hasn't eaten or been himself for these past days. I love him; I would pay anything for him, which i have but unfortunately, I do need help.

I've set my pride aside and I'm asking friends and family for any help financially for him. I've gone to two veterinarians; one charged us $920 for bloodwork, X-rays, and medication and said it had something to do with his stomach. That wasn't the case, so we went to a second veterinarian who told us the problem was in his lungs and proceeded to insert a tube into his lungs to drain air. We left him overnight so they could monitor him, and he apparently has air pockets that are too big and require surgery and are asking for more money.

The first procedure was $5,500, and this surgery is $8,000. I've put all the money I could and I dont want to lose him. The vet told me if he doesn't get surgery, he'll pass away in less than a week. Anything helps. God bless and I will give updates.
