As we welcome a brand-new year, we’re wishing for one very special miracle—for Blossom.
Blossom arrived at the perrera (public dog shelter) last July—young, abandoned, and all alone. Just two months later, her life took a turn for the better when Pointer Rescue stepped in and gave her hope for a future.
But as the year went on, we discovered that Blossom’s journey wouldn’t be an easy one. Once she was fully assessed by our vets and underwent a CT scan, the truth became clear… and heartbreaking. Blossom was born with severe deformities in both of her back legs. Her femurs are twisted, her knee joints are malformed, and every step she takes causes discomfort and pain. To give Blossom a pain-free life, she urgently needs major corrective surgery:
Both femurs must be broken and reset
Her knees must be corrected and stabilized with plates
⭕ The surgeries must be done one leg at a time
Right now, Blossom waits in a kennel, unable to run, jump, or play like a young dog should. Even landing the wrong way can hurt her. This is not how a new year should begin—for any dog.
