Help Blissful K9 Save More Dogs From Euthanasia

My name is Atom, trainer/owner of Blissful K9 and I have been working in animal welfare and training for over 8 years. My journey brought me to Rome Georgia in 2022 after almost dying from Covid and mold toxicity. After fully recovering I got back to training. I love working with my clients and training dogs but my other passion is working with shelter dogs. Before coming to Rome I volunteered and was employed as a trainer for almost 5 years with Humane Society Shelters in Lake County, Florida, in addition to my private training business.

I began volunteering with PAWS in January of 2023 training, socializing and walking dogs. Soon after that, the Rescue Coordinator Amanda asked for help with temp testing and evaluating the dogs behavior. I started making videos showing how quickly these dogs responded to basic training which led to many of them being chosen by rescue organizations or adoptions. Once I expanded Blissful K9 to include my Boot Camp and Boarding programs in August 2023, (choosing my location due to it being .7 of a mile from PAWS) I committed to donating Boot Camp training to two of the long term shelter dogs to increase their chances of rescue or adoption. With the plan of replacing the ones who were adopted or went to rescue. This has helped tremendously with getting these dogs to safety. PAWS provides food and vet care for them but it's a lot of work!

I'm very passionate about and love what I'm doing! That is what keeps me going! AND OF COURSE SAVING LIVES!

PAWS can only house dogs for a limited time (4 months) because there are hundreds still in need that they are required to take in. The staff at PAWS are passionate about animal welfare and work tirelessly to save as many as they can BUT they are first and foremost a public safety agency. That means that they have to make space for the dogs in need from cruelty cases, hoarding, sick/injured, strays and aggressive dogs.
