My dog Blink means the world to me. The other day, while we were outside taking out the trash, my neighbor became belligerent. Blink barked and ran toward him, and he fired several shots—one of which struck her in the jaw. Right now, she has a broken jaw and we’re still waiting to find out if she has any other injuries. It’s been a terrifying and heartbreaking experience for both of us.
