I’m writing with a heavy heart to ask for your help for my dear friend, Arafa, and her husband. Arafa is a 43-year-old blind woman who has faced unimaginable hardships since she was orphaned at the age of 6. Despite the pain and challenges life has thrown at her, she has always pushed forward with incredible strength and resilience.

Her husband, 52, is also struggling—living with multiple heart conditions that leave him frail and unable to care for himself. Together, they built a small business teaching children, but their world came crashing down when it was taken from them. They are now living in Turkey, unable to pay for rent, medical care, or even their most basic needs. They’re sometimes left without electricity and face the threat of being evicted.

This couple, already fighting against the odds, is now fighting to survive. Arafa and her husband have no family to turn to. They are alone in this battle, and the pain of seeing them struggle without any way to help themselves is overwhelming.

I believe in their strength, but I also know they can’t do this alone. They need our help, and they need it now. Your support will give them the chance to rebuild their lives—through a home-based business like tutoring, medical care, and the basic support they deserve to keep going.
