Help Bleu fight cancer

Hi, My name is Jeff and our dog Bleu was diagnosed with Mandibular Osteosarcoma, cancer of the lower jaw. We thought we were doing all the right things. We have Nationwide Pet Insurance for Bleu and his buddy Norman. We called after the diagnosis and asked if we were covered. They told us that our insurance will cover his office visits, surgery and his six chemo treatments. So we had portion of his lower jaw surgically removed (partial mandibulectomy) and we are now two chemo treatments in to his journey. We were just informed by Nationwide that we were not covered. I have also learned that no matter what the pet emergency, the insurance company will not tell you ahead of time if you are covered, despite them telling me we had coverage. Instead they added a pre-existing condition, disqualifying us from coverage. Obviously the insurance companies are in it to make money and not to help our pets with a payout for their healthcare. So this now leads us to asking for help. This is not something we take lightly, but we are now deep into the treatment for our incredibly resilient and loving dog Bleu. He has adapted well and can even fetch, picking up the ball with the side of his mouth. We were gutted by the diagnosis and this decision was a full on assault to our emotions.
