Please help Blessing survive danger and come home

Blessing is stranded in Nigeria, with an approved visa for return to the USA, but the process has been prolonged and complicated financially, family wise, and healthwise. You may notice her most recent photographs tend to show her physically worsened conditioned, un wanted weight loss, along with frequent malnutrition/nutrients and no access to clean water sources. This has caused repetitive hospitalizations for typhoid, Pericardial effusion, kidney disease and malnutrition. Blessing has no remaining family support system remaining over there, and a myriad of circumstances have made community and social networking a dangerous prospect. Myself, and anyone allied with me in her cause, are what remains of her final hope, in this last stage of maintaining her secure residence awaiting the ability for her to travel to the USA.

A little bit about Blessing, and our backstory...

Blessing and I have shared a strong relationship, even while being separated by distance since late 2024, when she returned to her grandmother's funeral. At that time, we were well on our way in our arrangements to pay to keep her passport current and expenses of the long flight back to us.

During that time, I had an accident that came with a forced medical leave from my first job, and was not allowed to continue, with a forced resignation. Soon after, we lost our vehicle I used for my professional driving since 2016 as a 5 star ride share driver, due to a mistake made by the last mechanics to work on it. The vehicle engine soon seized, a small insurance claim did come in, but it was not enough to replace the vehicle. Since then I have worked jobs exclusively on the bus route.

As the soul bread winner, responsible for a total of 5 adults, I was put in a nearly impossible position financially. I have always worked, and I have continued to do so, but by this time I have faced homelessness and shelters, contributing to job instability, making it nearly impossible to support her or myself.

Blessing has endured unimaginable hardship—she has only one family member left, that we can reach, who has not been able to be supportive at this time, due to his own dillema, and she has suffered through starvation, once going 11 days without food until I could get someone who could check on her. When she was found, she was unconscious and logically unable to drink water, and it was a miracle she survived.

The water quality where she is, is extremely poor and commonly rife with disease viruses like typhoid, (if viruses are the correct word, I apologize, the hospitals she has been in can state it better). That, and the lack of resources has led to kidney disease and a heart condition called "Pericardial Effusion", which appear to both have made worse by stress, bad, and malnutrition of potentially healing vitamins and minerals/lack there off.

I have done my best to support her, paying for visa renewals and sending what I can weekly and often more than once weekly, but my own situation has made it nearly impossible to keep up.

We lost the options of any assistance from our families during changes economic times, so this issue has gone on unresolved, and we we are left in these final, crucial couple of stages, trying to find a way forward on our own.

Right now, besides challenges ges with maintaining her food supply, communication and personal needs, she is relatively stable at the moment, and Blessing and I both feel, that with a bit more time we can fix this. So now it's come down to maintaining food and the apartment for her, *which are the two most paramount things in this cause*, to give us some more time to overcome the challenges to support her properly and get her home.

With the rent where she stays, being so little, this amount we are trying to raise is quite reasonable and attainable, with just a little bit of help from people like you, who wish to do the right thing. The last $100 being raised, is for a bit of a boost for her long term food, electricity and personal feminine care products, immediately after we pay the larger amount due for the annuallycharged rent (which is now past due), just to tide her over for a short time, after we have raised the primary amount. Rent cost is pennies on the dollar by USA standards, but per the local requirements where she resides alone, we have to pay for 12 months up front, which is a standard rental practice there.

Right now, my greatest concern is for Blessing's safety. If she loses her housing, she will be at risk in an area with rampant human trafficking, crime, heavy prostituition, and exploitation. Rent must be paid in advance, and while the cost is substantially lower than in the US, (at a meager approximately $41 per month x12), at this time, I by myself, simply cannot raise the full amount quickly enough.

Her food expenses, well those are not so cheap at her location, with little access to cheap imported food like we have here in the USA, and they are a bit high, but that we cannot control. They don't have "Walmarts" there, and supermarkets are nothing like here. Non-perishible food items are not commonly purchased, due to the high cost of any kind of imported canned or packaged goods.

Blessings visa is currenrky good for 5 years. I am staying in a shelter and working part time while eagerly seeking another full time venture , to get back on my feet, but I cannot do this alone.

Yes, I blame myself for not being able to support Blessing, but all the recent hospitalizations and emergencies have left me unable to save money, and essentially unable to save Blessings larger situation in time, with rent now being past due, for 12 months in advance.

So I respectfully ask; My dear friends and people of faith, please help us. Blessing is incredibly strong and grateful, but her situation is not safe, nor humane. If you can help, it would mean the world to us. Our situation is bad, but very real, and we are willing to share more details with any serious donors who wish to know.

Please search your heart and help Blessing have a chance at safety and hope.
