My name is Kristi and I have the most beautiful daughter, Katelyn. In 2021, Katelyn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Needless to say, I was in shock and denial for about a year. I refused to learn anything about the disease because I didn't want to hear the worst; that I would outlive my child. Today, that is not the case. Scientists have made great strides in slowing the progression of the disease. With that being said, every year, in order to receive this medication, Katelyn has to have an MRI. She has to have two images done. Their current insurance pays a majority, leaving them $905-$922 per image out of pocket.

My son-in-law works very hard and is a completely devoted husband. He takes great care of my daughter and for that I am extremely grateful. But he is one man and the only income since she can't work.
