Help Save Blerond’s Future

Blerond Maraj is a 12-year-old boy who has been fighting a life-threatening neurological condition since 2016.

Over the past several years, he has undergone seven brain surgeries in Turkey. Most recently, doctors implanted a medical device to help regulate his brain function. Unfortunately, the specialized treatment and equipment he needs are not available in Kosovo, making treatment abroad his only option.

Due to financial hardship, his family can no longer afford the medical trips to Turkey.

Blerond is currently in the 7th grade, but because of his illness, he spends far more time at home or in the hospital than in school. Like every child, he dreams of returning to the classroom, learning alongside his friends, and living a normal childhood.

His family survives on social assistance, which is simply not enough to cover the cost of his medications, ongoing medical care, travel, and treatment.
