Help Blaze Walk Again – Surgery Needed to Save His Leg

Hi, my name is Najah Parker, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart on behalf of my sweet dog, Blaze.

Blaze was injured a year ago after landing on his left front leg instead of on both, resulting in a painful carpal luxation. He’s been through a lot—months in a cast, time in a splint, and over a year on tranquilizers just to keep his movement limited. Despite it all, Blaze has remained the same sweet, loving, and spirited dog he’s always been.

At first, we were advised to try conservative treatment with a custom brace. But after a year and 4 custom braces, we are unable to find one that works and that doesn’t cause sores on his foot. Our regular vet strongly urged surgery—warning that leaving it untreated could eventually cost Blaze his leg. An orthopedic surgeon confirmed the same: Blaze needs surgery to repair the ligament and stabilize his leg before the damage becomes irreversible.

Blaze is only two years old, and was once a ball of energy—running, jumping, always excited to play. Seeing him like this is heartbreaking. I want to give him the chance to live the pain-free, long, active life he deserves.

Unfortunately, the surgery costs $15,000, which I simply cannot afford. I’m currently on permanent disability, raising three kids, and doing my best to hold it all together. But Blaze is family, and I’m doing everything I can to help him.
