Help Blayke Mooy Fight Leukemia
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Megan & I am fundraising for my Sister, Shelby Brock and my Brother-in-law Zack Mooy while their precious daughter Blayke fights leukemia.
Blayke was born December 20, 2022 and at just 5 months old they got the news Blayke was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Shortly after that they were notified that Blayke had holes in her heart and needed to go for open heart surgery and with a quick turn around time surgery was completed June 22, 2023.
Blayke fought like a champ during the surgery and made a full recovery.
Not even a year later, on Friday April 12th Shelby and Zack brought Blayke back to Sickkids with seizure like symptoms and they got the news that Blayke has now been diagnosed with leukemia. They will be admitted into Sickkids for the next 6 months for Chemotherapy.
With that being said, Zack and Shelby will not be able to work for quite a while during and after treatment and could use any help they can get. They will have to pay for all of their meals during their stay as the hospital doesn’t supply meals for parents. They will also have to pay for hotels and accommodations as only one parent can stay in the hospital with Blayke overnight.
Zack and Shelby are not the type to ask for any help ever, but are the first to help others.
I know Blayke, Shelby and Zack will come out of this stronger than ever but my wish is to create some financial relief not just for the immediate future, but also to alleviate some financial strain throughout this year of treatment. We want to create an environment which allows them to focus their time and attention on their little family.
Any extra money raised will be going into a RESP for Blayke.
If you’re looking for a quick update, feel free to message me or Blaykes Grandparents, Barb & Darryl Mooy as I’m sure Zack & Shelby are overwhelmed with messages.
Thank you for taking the time to read and all the continuous support!
