I started this fundraiser to help my mother with her fight against cancer! 

My mom a loving, caring, hardworking woman was diagnosed six years ago with  gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) in her stomach, while I was away studying my last year of college. Her tumor has been steadily growing to the point were it is now touching other organs, which makes it for a very risky surgery so her oncologist highly recommended using chemotherapy before the procedure in order to shrink it. 

A few weeks ago my mom became very ill and had to be hospitalized. They found a bacteria in her liver and was given strong antibiotics. She became weak, would not eat, and presented heart problems. Due to the fact that antibiotics weakened her so much we fear that chemotherapy might do more harm than good. 

Treatment facilities that heal patients without harming the immune system or good cells seem to be out of our reach. Nevertheless, we have found options that will be more accessible to achieve.
