Blankita is 2 year old energetic female Husky. On Tuesday April 9th, her mom let her out to sunbathe out on the deck. Blankita took this opportunity and did something she had never done before, jumped down. She then took off running and entered her neighbor's yard. As her mom started chasing after her, she heard a loud gun shot. She ran towards her negibor's yard where she found Blankita laying on the grass. She had received a shot to the leg. Blankita layed there motionless in pain but as soon as she saw her neighbor, she gathered all her strength and started limping away from him. He later sated he shot Blankita because she was chasing deer, which is very unlikely given that Blankita is very timid, skittish and will not approach anyone or anything she doesn't trust. Blankita's mom rushed her to the emergency vet where she was told Blankita was in stable condition but will need urgent surgery or her leg will have to be amputated.

The Surgery will cost $10,000. This is an amount Blankita's mom does not have. Please help Blankita get her surgery and save her leg. All of the funds will be used to cover her surgery and additional accommodations during her recovery. Blankita is in pain and the surgery needs to happen ASAP to avoid further complications. As most of you know I'm going through a divorce and attorney fees are expensive, plus I have to pay large amounts of taxes now and I have to pay Blankita's medical bills which are also very expensive. Most people tell me to sue my neighbor. I called the police and they said I have to pay the medical bills myself because unfortunately those things happen when you have dogs that go to the neighbors yard to chase deer.
