On Friday night, my husband was arrested. Because he does not speak English fluently, the police misunderstood his actions and believed he was refusing to follow instructions. After being in jail for nearly three hours, his case was automatically sent to immigration, and he is now in custody with immigration authorities.

This has been one of the hardest periods of my life. We have a one-year-old baby boy, and I am facing overwhelming legal fees and living expenses while my husband is in custody. I am doing everything I can to keep our lives together for our son, but the financial strain is more than I can manage alone.
