I am the sister in law of my husband's sister, Blanca, her husband Thom, and their 3 wonderful children, Alison, Ashley, and James who has special needs. Sadly, they have lost everything in the devastating Eaton fire. With only a short time to evacuate without power, in pure darkness, 60 mph wind gusts, huge visible flames rapidly approaching driven by the horrendous winds, and complicated by my sister in law's severe lung condition, they were only able to grab a few items of clothing as they evacuated from the Eaton fire leaving behind everything, their home, including vehicles, photos, important documents, necessary medical equipment, medications, etc., They know they are not the only people who are suffering a tremendous loss that has devastated their neighborhood and community in which they lived for 20 years. They have already been through so much as a family in the last several years with my sister in law's health and double lung transplant so keeping her healthy is a huge concern and priority. My wish is to help them restore any semblance of normalcy after losing everything.
