Dear Harm Family, Friends, Neighbors, and Loved Ones,  

The Harm family is facing a medical emergency that has resulted in Blake being hospitalized. Blake had a cough for about a month that resulted in him going to urgent care on 5/20. At that time, a chest x-ray revealed near complete opacification of his right lung, as well as parts of his left lung. Thankfully, he was able to get in with a pulmonologist the next day who expressed concern for a possible mass that could be restricting his lungs and breathing. Blake eventually was transferred to Buffalo General Medical Hospital. After many tests and procedures, Blake has been diagnosed with Primary B Cell Mediastinal Lymphoma—a type of cancer. He has a basketball sized mass on his lungs that is restricting their movement and his breathing. We are awaiting further classification, however in the meantime, Blake has started a chemotherapy regimen. We believe this will continue for at least 6 months and then they will re-evaluate and determine the next steps.
