Hi, my name is Casey, and I'm raising funds for my daughter Blakely- our bright, joyful, and incredibly strong little girl.
Blakely has faced more challenges in her short life than most do in a lifetime. She has been diagnosed with Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL), cerebral palsy, macular scarring of the retina (both eyes), optic atrophy and additional medical complications that affect her mobility, vision, and overall development. Despite all of this, Blakely is full of happiness, love and determination. Her smile lights up every room, and she never lets her challenges define her.
We are constantly fighting to give Blakely the best possible future- but the financial burden is overwhelming.
There is a clinical trial in Mexico at NeuroCytonix specifically focused on children with cerebral palsy, and we believe this treatment could be life-changing for Blakely. Unfortunately, the cost of this trial is $37,000 , and it is not covered by insurance.
In addition to this:
- Blakely will need eye surgery at age 3
- She will require bilateral hip surgery at age 4 due to hip dysplasia
- She urgently needs medical equipment to support her daily life and development, much of which insurance has denied or only partially approved.
- We are also hoping tp pursue stem cell treatment through Duke University, which comes with additional travel and medical expenses
Every single day, we advocate, appeal, and fight insurance just to get Blakely what she needs, But even with all our efforts, many critical treatments and pieces of equipment are simply not accessible without help.
Blakely deserves every opportunity, every therapy, and every chance to thrive. She is a happy, loving little girl with so much life ahead of her, and we are determined to do everything possible to help her reach her fullest potential.
