I'm Blake, a disabled trans woman with schizophrenia and type 1 diabetes. I've been fighting for years with Social Security to get paid disability insurance, but unfortunately, they won't even return my calls at this point. Thus leads me to here: this summer, I'm losing insurance under my roommate, and they can't afford to keep me without it. This puts my housing situation entirely in the air. I need help to fund my move to somewhere with expanded medicaid so I don't become a major financial burden on whoever I move in with.
