Help Blake Restore His Stolen Work Tools

I'm Blake. I've been self-employed for almost a decade. I provide property maintenance services: from housekeeping, window cleaning, landscaping, and handyman services and more.

Unfortunately, some people stole my work trailer and the contents of my equipment.

The police were able to recover my trailer which they majorly damaged on the interior/exterior, but they took all my equipment. To add insult to injury, they filled my trailer up with trash to the extent that I had to pay to dispose of it at a landfill.

The storage facility is not liable for any theft/vandalism etc that occurs on their premise.

I've spoken with all my insurance providers and they are trying to get out of paying because the trailer is stored at a "secure" storage facility and not at my home/business and other excuses.

So, it appears that I am on my own in regard to paying for the repairs to my trailer and repurchasing all my equipment.

I did not buy my items all at once. It was a gradual process of saving up and taking any/all jobs necessary to pay for my tools and equipment, which took years to acquire. In 15mins (we have them on camera) these criminals manage to take away my means of income.

I already had to inform a number of clients that I would not be able to do work for them due to my situation.

So, I'm sure you can understand the dilemma, I have no equipment to work and had to give up work that would potentially pay for the equipment.

The value of items in the trailer alone amounts to about ($15,000- $20,000).

Repairs to the trailer cost about $2000. The trailer is worth about $8000 in its current condition but if I were to buy it new would cost around $10,000. So, that's why I'd prefer to repair it.

I am not asking for compensation for loss or work as I can easily find more work with my equipment and experience but the loss of income falls in the range of about $5000 currently which will increase the longer, I am out of work.

Now that I've experienced this loss, I figured out how to improve security so that this is less likely to happen again. I, obviously, won't discuss the measures I will be implementing.

What these criminals did was vile, but I refuse to allow them to be more than a brief footnote in my life.

To that effect, I'm hoping that you all can help make this possible.
