I am a 2nd year apprentice who recently had a bad stroke of luck with health issues that required several procedures, including bilateral inguinal hernia surgery. Because I couldn't walk, even with a doctor's note, I was laid off from my job and am unable to use Famli leave. Temporary disability is only providing minimal support, which isn't enough to cover my basic needs. To make matters worse, someone has been stealing my checks in the postal service, so I had to file a federal investigation with the O.I.G. I haven't had any money coming in for a few months now, and it's caused my driver's license to be revoked since I can't pay my SR22 insurance. My truck was repossessed, and I don't know where else to turn.
I'm hoping to get my truck back from the loan company or get a different vehicle and restore my driver's license. My rent is past due, and I need groceries to get by. I do everything I can to better my life, but it feels like it's all being torn away. Any help, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Your support would mean the world to me as I try to get back on my feet.
