Blake is a talented carpenter, a loved son and nephew, and a man who has fallen on hard times after a painful series of setbacks. One of the defining moments that started this downward spiral came when all of his carpentry tools were stolen — the very tools he relied on to earn a living. Losing his livelihood, combined with depression and falling in with dishonest people who were poor influences, left Blake struggling to regain his footing.

This wasn’t a single bad choice or a lack of work ethic. It was a perfect storm of bad timing, bad luck, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like all of us, Blake has made a few poor decisions along the way — who hasn’t? But much of what brought him here happened faster than he could recover from on his own.

Today, Blake is homeless, discouraged, and searching for peace. Not because he lacks talent or desire, but because stability disappeared before he had the chance to rebuild. Blake is a skilled craftsman with strong hands and a creative mind, ready and willing to work if given the opportunity and the tools to do so.

His family has never stopped caring. Over the years, they have prayed for him, supported him emotionally, and helped financially whenever possible. But at this moment, Blake needs more than one family can provide alone — he needs a wider community willing to help him stand back up.
