My dear friends have had their lives changed forever in a dog mauling which occurred in there front yard. Neighbours frantically tried to intervene while the police were dispatched.
Blake’s hands we’re literally shredded, bones were broken and surgeons spent 7 hours trying to save his hands. His road is long and recovery will be exhausting for him and the family.
Any help will be so very appreciated.

Here is some information that may help to understand the situation better. I am very close friends to these people so close we are considered family. I am not one to post or get involved in neighborhood gossip and I find myself needing to respond and set a few things straight. The owners of this dog had just recently moved into the neighborhood. A neighborhood where other people have animals and help to look out for each other. The victim (68 yr old male) and his daughter ( my best friend) were leaving the house to go grocery shopping. While they were in their driveway the neighbor across the street yelled out to her and said “that dog is out.” Without hesitation both father and daughter being dog owners themselves did what most neighbors would do. They went to help their neighbors before the dog would get called in or picked up. While she was knocking on the front door her father proceeded to try to help by putting the dog back into his yard. He never touched the dog. Yes he did whistle and tap his leg to call the dog over however . Before he knew it he was being ferociously attacked and dragged by this animal. The daughter ran over found her father with his hands and arms in the mouth of this dog and was frantically trying to help her dad get away all while another neighbor was hitting the dog with a broom to help. They got the dog to release him and proceeded to run into their back yard as there front door was locked. While in the back yard locked out as well her father was bleeding tremendously all over the place to the point where the neighbor behind them had to throw a towel over the fence. While they were in the back yard the dog was pacing and stalking the front and side yard until the police and authorities showed up. All of this traumatic event was caught on camera with the family’s security system. After the event unfolded information was found in regards to the owners and how the animal was being trained. This animal was being trained with a attack arm guard and trained in the backyard by the owner. All of which again has been brought to attention of the correct channels. Thus understanding the injuries to the victims hands and arms. Yes there is always more to the story and unfortunately this animals life has been ended because I’m sure he thought he was doing what he apparently had been trained to do. But again this man’s life has been changed as he has just spent 7 hrs in surgery to reconstruct both of his hands that he currently has no use in at he moment. His life will be changed forever all for thinking he was doing the right neighborly thing. If they would have known the dog was aggressive they wouldn’t have approached it at all or even attempted to help. Another piece of this puzzle is after this became public this man was the 3rd person to be attacked by this animal. The homeowners will have their side im sure. The truth is the surrounding neighbors all seen it happen with their own eyes. And that cannot be argued.
