Help Blake Luquette Record His Comeback Album My name is John, and I'm a disabled Air Force veteran. For years, I've had the honor of calling Blake Luquette my close friend. I'm setting up this campaign because Blake has given so much — to our country, to our veterans, and to everyone around him — and now it's our turn to give back. Blake grew up in South Louisiana, surrounded by the rich sounds of Cajun, country, gospel, rock, blues, and jazz. Music was always his calling, and by 2000, his career was on the rise. But when his country needed him, he set it all aside to serve as a Marine Infantryman in Iraq. Like so many of our brothers and sisters, Blake came home carrying the invisible wounds of war. PTSD nearly silenced his music for good. His song, "DD-214," tells the raw, honest story of his journey. You can listen to the demo he created here: https://youtu.be/fhXt_JCgLpY. It's a powerful glimpse into his life after service — the hypervigilance, the struggle in crowds, and the memories of fallen comrades. This is the story he needs to tell, not just for himself, but for every veteran who feels the same. Even after everything, Blake continues to serve. Today, he is a Team Lead for the Operation Red Wings Foundation, where he helps veterans begin their healing journeys, often saving lives by giving them hope and a path forward. I've seen firsthand how much of himself he pours into helping others. Now, Blake is ready for his comeback. He's putting together a 15–20 song album that will be a blend of his Cajun roots, country, jazz, and heartfelt storytelling. This album will be his story of resilience, healing, and love. It will honor his heritage, his service, and his journey back to the music that was almost lost. Producing a record of this quality isn't cheap. Each song costs about $1,000–$1,500 to record, mix, and master. With 15–20 songs, the total project will take between $15,000–$30,000. These funds will go directly toward: ️ Studio time Professional musicians (steel guitar, fiddle, piano, Cajun accordion, harmonies) Mixing & mastering CDs and vinyl Promotion, artwork, and video content This album isn't just music — it's proof that hope and healing can rise from the darkest of battles. It's a chance to finally get Blake's career back to where it was in 2000 — and even further. It's a chance for his voice to be heard. How You Can Help 1. Donate — Any amount helps bring this record to life. 2. Share — Spread the word on social media, email, and with friends. Share the link to his video. 3. Encourage — Leave Blake a message of support. Every word means the world. Blake gave up his music career once to fight for this country. He's still giving back, serving veterans every day at retreats that change lives. Now, I'm asking you to join me in giving back to him. Help me help Blake — a Marine, a musician, and a healer who has given so much to our country and our fellow veterans. – John Disabled Air Force Veteran & Proud Friend of Blake
