Insurance raised surgery $10k (3 months before)

Hello, my name is Blake, and my pronouns are he/him. I am a 21-year-old transgender man, and I’m excited to share that I have my top surgery scheduled for May 19th. However, I’ve encountered some unexpected financial barriers that are making this process much more difficult than anticipated. 

Due to a recent change in my insurance, my current plan no longer works with my surgeon, Dr. Bluebond. This has increased the cost of surgery by 60%. On top of that, my new insurance doesn’t cover any plastic surgeons who perform gender-affirming top surgery—none that I, my friends, or family have been able to find. 

As a full-time college student, I’m unable to afford an independent insurance plan, which means I’m turning to you for help. I’m doing everything I can to make this transition happen, and your support would make a world of difference in helping me get the care I need.
