Help Blake Bartle Heal After Severe Accident

Hey there! So here’s the situation…

Blake Bartle was in a serious car accident by Perlicks Saturday 6/3 going to Food Truck Fest to see some good friends when he was struck by an on coming truck while turning into the parking lot. Unfortunately, Blake has suffered some intense injuries including a broken hip and fractured pelvis.

Blake has gone through a few surgeries trying to piece back together what is left of his hip. Instead of larger pieces, his femur shattered his socket not leaving much to work with, along with very little cartilage. The doctors placed plates and screws, for the time being in hopes that he can go a few years, without having a total hip replacement right away.

Since Blake is so young (25) it is not ideal to have a hip replacement as he will constantly need revision surgeries. The more hip surgery he has the less bone mass he will have, and you can imagine that’s not the best circumstance. He will still need to have more surgeries to come to keep him from having too much pain, but he will have arthritic pain from here on out. He is not able to use his right side of his lower half, or he risks damaging all of the surgery he had done, making it very hard for him to get around. He has a walker that he is able to hop on his left foot, when he needs to get up to use the bathroom assisted etc.

Blake is home, we were are doing all that we can to keep him comfortable. But we ask your help to raise funds for the long road we are yet still going down.
