Help Blaise Martin: 38 Hospital Stays This Year

Blaise Martin is facing a difficult and frightening health battle. Over the years, Blaise has undergone two kidney transplants and spent many years on dialysis. This long journey has resulted in extensive internal scar tissue and ongoing digestive issues, leading to repeated hospitalizations and a challenging path to recovery.

This year alone, Blaise has been hospitalized 38 times. He is currently in the hospital because his small intestine is not opening back up properly, making it impossible for him to digest food or absorb nutrients without medical assistance.

Additionally, due to a miscalculation and changes in his required medications, Blaise has suffered more than 20 seizures, taking away his ability to work as he fights for his health.

Blaise is the son of our dear friend Collin Martin, a longtime hairdresser and educator for Hattori Hanzo Shears. Many of you know Collin as someone who gives his all to his craft, his community, and his family. Right now, his son needs our help—and we have an opportunity to show up for a fellow Hanzo family member when it matters most.

The financial burden from ongoing treatments, tests, and specialized care is overwhelming, and we’re raising funds to help ease that load so the Martins can focus on Blaise’s health and healing.
