Help Blair Houtz Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire
Late Tuesday night, Blair Houtz lost his home to a devastating fire.
Everything happened so quickly. The house that had belonged to his grandmother was destroyed, along with everything Blair owned.
The hardest loss of all was Wilson.
Wilson wasn’t just Blair’s dog. If you knew Blair, you knew Wilson. They were together everywhere, and anyone who spent time with them could see how much they loved each other. Losing Wilson has been absolutely devastating.
To make things even harder, Blair did not have renters insurance, so he’s now faced with replacing everything from clothing and furniture to the everyday necessities most of us never think twice about.
If you’ve met Blair, you know what an incredibly kind soul he is. He has a quiet way of making people feel welcome and cared for.
Blair is known for so many things by so many people. A lot of us know him from Cape Fear Shakespeare, where he recently brought so much joy to audiences as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Shakespeare wasn’t just something Blair performed. It was one of his great passions. He spent years collecting rare Shakespeare books, and that entire collection was lost in the fire.
Right now, Blair needs the same kindness he has shown so many others.
If you’re able to help, any amount will make a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated.
Thank you for helping Blair get back on his feet and for remembering Wilson, who was so deeply loved.
❤️
