Meet Blaine,

I got the chance to meet Blaine this summer when I was raising goods for the food bank and I stopped by his house to pick up what was raised and out came Blaine. Every since then I have kept in contact with Heather his caretaker and he is always ready to help out with whatever charitable cause we are doing.

This is a guy who suffers from spastic cerebral palsy but works 3 to 4 days a week at IKEA earning a living. He doesn't make excuses he just gets work done. You may have seen him towing shopping carts or greeting you as you arrive. He's been working there for 17 years! HE is always happy loves to talk sports and is a cool guy all around.

Blaine has been battling his current chair for 10 years. It doesn't fit him right causes pain and is constantly breaking down.  Heather has explained to me that has been an uphill battle trying to get approved for a new one from the government and alas they kinda of sorta did. That said he needs $8,200 for modifications to make it right and so he can go to work. That be like you getting a car to go to work that didn't have any tires. Kinda useless. So Blaine had the idea to hold a bake sale and try to raise the money himself and ont op of that he still wanted to donate a portion to Dogs with Wings. What a gigantic heart on this man!  

I have done many many charity drives and I knew sadly he wasn't going to get to nearly ten grand by hosting a bake sale so I had to help here and use my platform to make a difference in his life. I'd love to raise more than 10 grand and leave him with a little extra so he doesn't have to go thought this again but lets just start with what he needs. 

Please help me get Blaine, a hard working Canadian, into a chair that doesn't cause him pain daily and allows him to be the contribution to our society and this community as he has for many years.
