Hi everyone,

My boy, Blackjack, loves to play in the snow. I woke up early the other morning to play with him and let him chase snowballs (as seen in the cover photo). Later that day, he started limping, and after seven hours at the emergency vet I'm told he has a torn ligament in his knee and needs a $6,500 surgery and almost a month in recovery in order for him to be able to run and play again. Not only is the surgery more than I can afford even with help of family, but I also have to take time off of work and spend part of my last semester online in order to help him recover.
