Help Black Tulip Open a Coffee Shop
I have found my dream location to finally be able to open a coffee shop and roastery. For the past five years I’ve roasted fresh to order each week for some of the best local cafes and coffee shops in town while always dreaming of having my own space to be able to share my passion and directly serve people.
It’s my mission to use Black Tulip Coffee as a vehicle to affect positive environmental and social change in Florida and the world. As a wholesale roaster I only source specialty coffee that is certified Organic and Fair Trade. With the increased profit margins of a retail shop I will be able to realize my goal of becoming completely Zero Waste and Carbon Neutral.
This goal will largely be achieved by replacing single use retail coffee bags with our new reusable metal coffee tins and replacing disposable coffee cups with glass mason jars and glass bottles for to-go orders.
When single use plastics cannot be avoided, such as shipping materials, packaging, sanitary gloves etc. I will pay to have these items recycled by TerraCycle.
Charity:
100% of profits after taxes will be donated to charity or invested in the goal of becoming carbon neutral and zero waste.
We want to promote and advance a culture free of single use plastics powered by renewable energy.
The entire menu at the shop will be Organic and Dairy Free for the health of people and the planet.
In addition to providing fresh roasted coffee I'm teaming up with The Honeypot to feature carefully curated vintage and sustainable goods.
The absolute best part of the new location is the beautiful outdoor garden that will be an oasis to share drinks and conversation and hold live music and art events. It can also host small yoga classes and private parties.
To compliment the Coffee Shop my twin brother has created an Organic Beer, Wine, and Non-Alcoholic Cocktail menu for an evening hours gathering space called The Burrow.
We will use the increased profits from The Burrow to support The Florida Wildlife Corridor's mission to permanently connect, protect and restore Florida Wildlands.

The money raised with this campaign will be used to pay for the deposit on the building and the initial costs of building out the coffee service bar. We are currently working on securing funding for the whole project, but time is limited as we need to sign the lease for May 1st. We need your help to raise the $22,000 as soon as possible. We will be forever grateful if you can contribute any amount of money. If you are unable to contribute in these difficult times we are facing please share this campaign and our mission with your friends and family. Thank you so much!
