Help a Black Single Parent & Child Keep Housing

Hi, Could you help me raise funds for a responsible, resilient and compassionate parent?

The waves of life just hit our friend Lex hard. She just lost one of her jobs and her rent went way up because her section 8 was cancelled due to a paperwork glitch! Lex is filing an appeal so that this can be remedied for November. But the consequence is that she has to pay market rate, hopefully just for this coming month.

Meanwhile, Lex and her child will lose their housing if we don't help her raise $5000 by October 22nd.

Lex already shifted her other job to full time. Still, she will only make $1600 a month.

Lex is also a dedicated student trying to make a better life for herself and her child. Her bestie says Lex is, “Someone whose light always shines through, who always shows up for the people she loves. Whose art speaks volumes, and music carry’s hearts to new depths.”
