help black family being terrorized by neighbors
Help my mom with attorney fees. My mom and I live in Owensboro Kentucky. We have been living here for 13 going on 14 years but my mom been owning her property for 11 years. But in those 11 years for 10 years, after the property was bought by Their landlord we have been continually racially harassed and threaten. But for 6 years the current tenants and their family and friends, it been way worse. They have racially harassed us, threaten us, they trained their dog(Rottweiler) to bark at us when we come out, they let the dog run loose and the tenants and their friends/family would constantly would blocked us in from entering and exiting her property.
When their landlord bought the property, he came and claimed my mom driveway as shared. She tried to tell the tenants multiple times to not block the driveway, to keep their dog on their side and keep their family on their side and they wouldn’t and then they started making it racial, calling us black bitch, nigger, nappy headed and so on. My mom would file complaints, and nothing would be done. The County Attorney would constantly throw it out. It got so bad that I could not even focus on school and made me lose interest in everything I loved. 2015 when I graduated, because the harassment got worse, I decided to stay back and help and just try to focus on dance, photography and working so I could be here because I did not want her to deal with this alone.
When she got a title search done by an attorney (who just wanted to help) to prove the driveway was not shared, due to everyone claiming they do not go by Deeds anymore. Their landlord and county attorney harassed them to the point they changed what they said. He even went as far as pulling the city polls up that was put to block through traffic, went in my mom yard putting pins in the ground and middle of the driveway (at the time we didn’t know what it was) he later came back with surveyor (who he told was a good friend of his) point where he put down the pins and end up with survey paper showing that it is a “shared” driveway and then tore my mom fence down off her own property. The tenants got worse they started blocking us in more, setting off fireworks towards her house, parking in her driveway blasting music, calling us niggers, letting dog mess in her yard, let the dog loose to try and attack my mom and had their friends come over and harassed us. She called the police and every complaint that she done was thrown out by County Attorney. She even had to bring a male friend from up north to help and be a witness and just in case something happens. We have to carry weapons with us at all times because we don’t know what will happen. The police gave us a citation for menacing because we refuse to put our weapons down after their family member tore down her fence and another family/friend of theirs laugh saying he “spits on little black kids” we try to show videos to show what happen but the police would not look at the videos. They tell us to record everything but yet never want to see it. The lady officer came over acting like she was going to do something so of course I did not put my weapon down, specially after an incident I asked an officer nicely if its okay I could record our conversation and he reached for his gun. I will protect my mom and I at all cost no matter what because no one else will. But now they trying to make it like we the problem.
Their landlord stated before he would spend $ 100,000 before he let a black bitch have her own driveway. He also told us if he wanted he could take her property too. March 26, 2021 my mom got a packet in the mail and they completely changed her deed descriptions and theirs and made her description theirs and their descriptions hers. They continue to illegally do stuff and nothing being done but they are able to get away with it because everyone here is working together, Their landlord, their landlord attorney, the Judge and county attorney. He now claims she don’t own her property and trying to take it. She has all her documents and proof of everything but just need someone to really help and not just act like they will so they can collect all her information to try and falsify it and help them because that continue to be the problem. They are able to do this due to they know we don't have an attorney or anyone who gonna back us up. So we are trying to find an attorney who will take her case and outside of Owensboro because we don't know what else to do. I don't know what may happen but If we don't have someone to help they could possibly try claim her property.
