Hello All!
My name is Winter Denem(20f) and I am Hunter Denem's(18m) older sister. Hunter was diagnosed with autism at age 5. He's shy and very humble. Hunter has always had a learning disability growing up. I've seen firsthand the struggles he would go through and try and help him navigate best I could, but he got the most help from our mom. When we were younger my mom was Hunter's support system. He would feel comfortable talking to her about anything and express his frustrations. They were very close to each other. But unfortunately, in 2019 our mother passed away unexpectedly in the hospital from organ failure. Hunter later was diagnosed with depression and ever since then our dad has been our guardian. But he wasn't much help. He would leave us weeks at a time with no food or water without telling us where. It was terrible. I decided to step up and apply for jobs to feed my brother and I . And I got a job! But right now, this feels out of my control and
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Recently, our father ran off with his girlfriend without notice or heads up to either me or Hunter. Only thing he said was "You are grown once you turn 18. After that you're not my responsibility"...Which has put us in a difficult situation since he was the one "taking care of us" ever since my mother passed in 2019. Though I have a job, I don't have much money saved up. We are currently living with our aunt, but it will not last for long, because she is moving out of town very soon. We have until April 2, 2021, to get into an apartment. The stress has been very high and has taken a toll on my little brother. (!TRIGGER WARNING!) Just recently he was in the hospital attempting to take his own life. This is serious not only for his safety and mine but our wellbeing too. This money will go towards move-in costs like application, deposit, last months, etc. Any amount of help is appreciated. Please help us reach our goal!! Please Share! And Thank you all who do!
