Help Björn to build the Sacred Heaven Shelter
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Daliborka Jolovic. We're collecting donations for a Swiss colleague, Björn Medernach, who founded the Bali Dog Association!

Björn rescues neglected dogs on Bali
Seven years ago, Björn was vacationing on the Indonesian island of Bali. Instead of lying on the beach under palm trees, he discovered the many stray dogs: "It broke my heart." The 35-year-old didn't hesitate for long and founded an organization that rescues dogs from the streets.
The Bali Dog Association
A Dog Organization - Björn Medernach that tirelessly fights for the island's forgotten dogs in Bali!
Bali's Dogs are in Crisis!
From mass poisonings and abuse to neglect and starvation, these intelligent and resilient animals fight daily for survival. But amidst the cruelty and suffering, Björn from Bali Dog Association are working tirelessly to change their reality.
Björn Medernach has built the largest sanctuary in Bali:
Which was unfortunately taken away from him by his local helpers because the dogs provide financial support for the family.
Betrayal stole not only the shelter he built—it nearly stole his health and his life. The emotional Damage was so intense, it drove Björn to the hospital. He faced a deep breakdown. But he survived.
And now—he’s rising again.
Björn Medernach is a big hope for countless abandoned, abused, and injured dogs. With no government support and facing growing challenges, he continues to fight for the welfare and survival of Bali's native dogs.

Rescue and Rehabilitation
Every day, Björn responds to emergency calls about dogs that have been hit by cars, are suffering from illnesses, or have been cruelly abused. Björn takes in the most desperate cases—starving mothers, orphaned puppies, and those dying on the streets. With the right medical care, nutrition, and rehabilitation, these dogs are given a second chance at life.
What is Björn doing to prevent the population from growing into infinity?
To break the cycle of suffering, sterilization programs are crucial in Bali. Björn Medernach works mostly with the Bali Pet Crusaders together!

Adoption and Rehoming
Björn Medernach founded the largest dog rehoming group in Bali:

One of the biggest challenges is finding loving homes for rescued dogs. Since adoption opportunities on the island are limited, we work tirelessly to rehome Bali dogs overseas. However, complex export regulations make this difficult and underscore the urgent need for direct dog export from Bali.

How can you help Björn?
Due to betrayal, Björn lost the very shelter he built with love and sacrifice. But the vision isn’t gone—it’s just evolving.
He has found a new, magical place where both dogs and humans can find safety, healing, and reconnection with Mother Nature. This will be more than just a shelter—it will be a Sacred Heaven. A place where humans can rediscover their roots, and dogs can finally live free, safe, and loved.
But to build this new beginning, we need your help.
We’re not just asking for small donations. We need to raise $20,000 USD to make this sacred vision a reality.
