Thank you for taking a moment to learn about my fundraiser and the reason behind it. In a nut shell I am looking to cover some of the costs recently invested and still needed into the House Shows Direct Website, podcast and youtube channel - Podcast Production & Editing, Video & Audio equipment, Software and Labor to pay my team. (more info below) I am on a mission to help as many performing artists as possible and do my part to protect this beautiful world of music, comedy and all live performance. Please help me help these Artists. We all need what they bring to the world.

The full scoop:

Over two years ago I made a tough decision and took a big risk. I sold my 13 year electrical business, which was how i made a living and dove head first into a new project called House Shows Direct. It is a website and community platform that my team and I have been creating and building day and night for over two years.

It's purpose is to help performing artists book more live shows throughout the US and around the world and to help artists make more money. Along side the platform I have developed a Youtube channel and Podcast interviewing musicians, and other performing artists and people in the industry. I have also for the last ten years hosted hundreds of community events/concerts at my family home called The Kinney Farm. (I also help others learn how to host house shows)

All the proceeds from these shows go to the artists. 100% of the merch sales goes to the artist. I give them lodging if they are on tour, feed them, and give them a space to take a break from the road. We repair their instruments in the banjo shop (Cloverlick) which is also another passion based philanthropic endeavor. I have built a space and life around supporting artists and strive to be a living example of what i want to teach others how to do.

During this time I have poured my heart and soul into these projects to make a difference in the world. In a world where it's easy to lose hope, it is crucial to build connection, community and meaning. That is my Passion.

The sale of my electrical business two years ago has afforded me enough time and money to focus all of my energy to start this mission.

I have invested an astronomical amount of time and energy, with the pains of building a unique website, learning audio, video, lighting, production, editing, website functions, talking on camera, social media promo, how youtube and spotify work, along with learning all the working parts of the music industry and the art of podcasting. Even just getting comfortable on camera was a lot of work and practice. I mean hours and hours of pulling my hair out through trial and error.

I am on the cusp of this whole thing really moving forward and making a big impact in a good way for artists. I am not going to stop. My wife and three boys have been so supportive and encouraging, and very patient and trusting (especially my wife Gemma).

House-Shows-Direct.com is getting some finishing touches as we build up the artist and host catalog and I teach them how to use all the tools built into the platform. It will soon be ready for Events, Booking, Fans and Supporters. I am so excited to fully launch this very soon.

With the podcast "Wood Stove Chats" I have done 14 interviews and just released my 8th podcast along with live recorded performances by the artist. I do not charge them. I have a ton more scheduled and will probably do this for a very long time. I offer the podcast as a way to help people get to know these artists, understand their world and what they need from us. I will also have tutorials teaching house show hosts the basics, and other videos talking bout problems and solutions within the Music Industrial Complex. "Wood Stove Chats" is currently available on my youtube and spotify channels.

Moving forward the website, youtube channel, and podcast will be funded by Supporters, Sponsors, Ads, Fan Patreon memberships and H.S.D. Brand Merch sales. More news soon on how to stay involved.......
