Help B.J. and Natalie Overcome Medical Bills
Donation protected
My name is Billy Rodgers, my friends and family call me B.J.
On January 4th, 2024, I had a heart attack while at work, and luckily it wasn't bad enough to be debilitating. I was able to calmly drive down the hill back home, and my wife Natalie took me to the E.R. I had an almost 100% blockage and was told I was lucky my heart attack wasn't worse. I had to have a double bypass surgery because the blockage was in a Y intersection in front of my heart.
I work at a steel fabrication shop operating a CNC plasma cutter. It's a small family-owned business, so I don't make that much. My wife is a self-employed illustrator making and selling funny animal art at various geek conventions. Her income from that has dramatically decreased with the economy and convention shows charging a lot more for artists and vendors to sell at them. Expenses for these shows can be pretty high as well.
My health condition and my wife's business woes, plus the uncertain economy, have made it very difficult to maintain my medical bills. I also deal with anxiety and depression since my heart surgery; thus, my doctor has placed me on Zoloft. My wife and I are also working on remodeling a house her grandmother gave us, so expenses for that have been difficult.
If we can get out from under my medical bills, it would mean so much and take a major burden off us.
