I have a lot of bills. Medical. Rent. Heating. The one that will possibly get me evicted before the end of the year is the unpaid electricity bill. Due to Covid, CMP hasn't cut off the power despite the bill being past due since March. On November 1st, the power will finally be cut. I've applied for the Maine state help program three times this year and haven't heard back from them. Same with rent assistance programs, lol.
If my electricity didn't cover my landlord's garage, and it wasn't due to be winter in Maine, I'd just let the disconnect happen and live in the dark. But my animals need to be warm and my landlady needs to be able to park her cars.
Anything helps. I'm hoping I can make a smaller "good faith" payment and keep trying to reach the folks at the community help centers. Thank you, friends.
