Last Sunday, what began as a casual motorcycle ride turned into something unexpected.

Bishalm’s bike hit a wet patch on a corner and slipped out. He slid into a bank, where his knee struck a branch — resulting in a broken lateral tibial plateau and knee joint effusion.

He’s scheduled for surgery this Monday, followed by months of recovery no weight on his knee until at least late February and up to a year of physical therapy before he can return to full strength.

For those who know Bishalm, you know how much pride he takes in his craft and how deeply he cares for every person who sits in his chair. With him unable to work, our family faces a full financial hit from medical bills to physical therapy and the costs of daily life while he heals.
