Hello, I have a sassy and sweet 13-year-old tuxedo cat named Biscuit. I took her into my care 5-6 years ago when a best friend of mine passed away (RIP Britni). Biscuit was recently diagnosed with diabetes and will need insulin for the remainder of her life to live the healthiest life that she can. Unfortunately, I'm in a financial pickle after a very expensive vet visit that, even with a payment plan, is still not enough help for the assistance I need for the next few months until I get back on my feet and find a second job. At the moment, I am full-time employed at a hotel job, but with bills and commuting expenses (on top of pet and grocery expenses), I cannot afford the amount of medical care she needs. So until I can afford it all with a second job, I am reaching out for community support during this time. A lot of the expenses I need help with are for the following: bi-weekly glucose and urinalysis testing, a one-time glucose monitor, special glucose wet/dry cat food, and commuting expenses (riding with a pet in an Uber is very expensive, and I'm not currently mobile).
