My dog Birdie came into my life unexpectedly. She was owned by someone else for 10 years, and at first, I didn’t plan to keep her. But over the past four years, Birdie and I have become inseparable. She’s an amazing dog who has brought so much joy and love into my life.
Recently, I lost my job and have been unemployed for four months. My unemployment benefits just ran out, and while I’ve been interviewing and have some prospects, things have been tough. Then, just 24 hours ago, Birdie became suddenly and seriously ill. I gave her CPR and stayed with her minute by minute, doing everything I could. She’s now in an ER hospital for dogs, fighting for her life with an IV and the care of dedicated veterinarians.
The cost of her emergency care is overwhelming, and I simply can’t afford it right now. I am humbly asking for help to cover Birdie’s medical bills so she can recover and come home. She is expected to make a full recovery if she can continue receiving treatment. I promise to pay this kindness forward when I am able to work again. Thank you for considering helping us during this difficult time. Your support means the world to both of us.
With gratitude,
Enoc Zamora (Former US Army NG) & Birdie
