Help Us Keep Birdie Fighting
Her name is Birdie, and she lives up to the name. She’s light, sweet, and full of life.
Last Friday, we were heartbroken when Birdie was rushed to the emergency vet with what turned out to be a severe and rare form of feline pneumonia. She was immediately placed in an oxygen chamber with IV antibiotics and around-the-clock care and has been there since. She’s currently placed on a feeding tube and receiving aggressive treatment at Santa Barbara’s Advanced Veterinary Specialists.
When we visit her, she walks to the glass to find us. She rubbed her face against our hands and even ate treats for us when she hadn't eaten for anyone else in 5 days, showing us she’s still fighting, and she wants to come home.
Her treatment costs have now exceeded $18,000, and our pet insurance covers only $5,500 per year. We are not ready to stop fighting for her, but we need help.
Any contribution goes directly toward keeping Birdie in the care that is giving her a fighting chance. If you can't donate, sharing her story means everything.
She's still fighting, and with your help, we believe she's coming home.
