Help Biomedical Engineers Get Medical Equipment to Tanzania
Donation protected
We are supporting biomedical engineers at Arusha Technical College (ATC) in their partnership with the Afya Foundation to bring medical equipment to Tanzanian hospitals.
The Electrical and Biomedical Engineering Department at ATC will refurbish, repair, and validate the used equipment collected by Afya before it goes to local clinics and healthcare centers. ATC is the premier biomedical engineering school in Tanzania and trains the next generation of biomedical engineers who will be deployed all around Tanzania.
Afya collects medical equipment for donations to underserved countries and also sends medical supplies. ATC hosted students and faculty from Cornell Biomedical Engineering during an exchange program in which we learned so much about engineering and healthcare in Tanzania.
We hope to assist our friends and colleagues in raising the funds to ship the donated equipment and supplies from the US to Tanzania. We expect to fill and send an entire shipping container.
