Help Bindi Beat Neuroblastoma
Donation protected
We wanted to share an update as so much has happened over the last year. Bindi was able to celebrate her 2nd birthday on November 3rd by completing her last inpatient treatment and getting discharged from the hospital in San Antonio. Unfortunately, the cancer quickly progressed following discharge. Bindi is currently in the ICU in Houston, receiving her last treatments which will hopefully open up the door for other therapies. Bindi has had to endure so much in her short life, and we continue to be amazed by her strength.
As we near Thanksgiving and reflect on the last year, we do so with grateful hearts. We are so thankful for the year of memories we got to make with Bindi, for the time we spent together as a family, and for all the support we’ve received. The prayers, emotional support, well wishes, and donations have been absolutely humbling. We sincerely thank all of you and ask that you please continue to pray for Bindi, her healthcare team, and our family during this time. We hope you have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
Here’s the background to Bindi’s story:
Bindi was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in September 2023. As you can imagine, her parents and our family are devastated. Bindi is a beautiful light to the world. Prior to becoming ill, she was breezing through her milestones, always smiling, and was in the top percentile for length and weight. Then she suddenly lost her appetite, and it spiraled from there.
Unfortunately, she is a high risk case. The next 18 months will be full of aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, consulting specialists, and traveling to other facilities throughout the state. Luckily for Bindi, her parents are nurses so she will be well cared for 24/7.
Our family is working hard to find ways to support Bindi, her sisters, and her parents in this journey. With this Go Fund Me, we're hoping to reduce the financial stress that will come with Bindi's medical treatment as my brother and his wife will be dropping to a reduced income with two other children to support. After spending several years of my nursing career in oncology, I've personally witnessed the healing power of prayer, positivity, and community and now hope our Bindi experiences the same.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help alleviate the financial burden and allow our family to focus on what matters most – Bindi's health, well-being, and full recovery. Your contributions will undoubtedly make a significant difference in Bindi's battle against cancer. We greatly appreciate and welcome any prayers and well wishes as we continue to face this battle with unwavering strength and determination.
