We are so excited and blessed to announce that we were able to pay for the evacuation from Rafah for many family members. Most are on the waiting list to leave and a few have safely made it to Egypt. We expect those on the waiting list to evacuate in the coming weeks. Your generous donations and prayers have saved lives! We cannot thank you enough!

As part two of our evacuation plan, we have four families that are in dire need to evacuate. They do not have reliable access to water, food, or adequate shelter. Our family is in immediate danger every day and with the looming ground invasion, the situation is expected to worsen.

For a bit of background, my family is originally from northern Gaza and were forced to flee and become refugees after their homes were destroyed by an airstrike on October 29, 2023. They fled to the Nuseirat camp and then Khan Yunis area. They were then, once again, displaced to Rafah. The danger has followed them everywhere that they have sought safety. Since October, we have lost 22 members of our family to the relentless bombing of the Israeli occupation, the youngest being my baby cousin Yusuf of only 40 days old. Our family is now homeless, forced to live in miserable, unsanitary living situations in tents and evacuated areas with heavy bombs dropping all around them everyday!

We are now familiar with the process of evacuating, but we have exhausted the funds from our first GoFundMe and still have four more families (adults and children) to put on the waitlist. The cost for each person to leave to Egypt is $5,000 USD per adult 16 and older and $2,500 USD for children. We are hoping to raise another $110,000 USD and save our family. If we do not reach our goal, we will be sending them the money to help with basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter.
