Billy is a sweet Maltipoo believed to be 8–10 years old. He was sitting on the cold concrete floor of an LA County shelter during one of the coldest months of the year, at risk of being euthanized. We stepped in to save him, and now he’s safe — but he urgently needs medical help. Billy has painful glaucoma in his left eye and a cataract in his right eye. Even with partial blindness and discomfort, he is incredibly loving, curious, and full of life. At the vet’s office, he explored every corner, asked everyone for pets, and even gave the doctor kisses. Everyone instantly fell in love with him. Small dogs like Billy can live many more happy years. With surgery and treatment, we can relieve his glaucoma pain and restore sight in his right eye.
