Billy’s surgery was a success ❤️

 We finally have some good news to share. After everything Billy has been through, his surgery went well and he is now on track to make a full recovery.  It has been an incredibly stressful few weeks watching Billy go through emergency surgery and a long hospital stay, but seeing him home and continuing to recover has been such a huge relief. He has been so strong through all of this, and we are incredibly grateful to the veterinary team who cared for him and gave him the treatment he needed.

 However, our fundraising journey isn’t over yet. Billy’s emergency treatment, surgery, hospitalisation, specialist veterinary care, medications and diagnostics have resulted in a significant veterinary bill, and we still need to raise the money to pay this bill. Our goal remains $7,500, and every donation and share brings us closer to being able to clear the cost of Billy’s treatment.

Once Billy’s veterinary bill has been fully paid, any additional donations will go directly towards his ongoing recovery and rehabilitation. This includes future veterinary visits, medications, specialised dietary requirements and any other care Billy needs as he continues to recover. As a small rescue, we solely rely on donations and the support of our community to fund the rescue and rehabilitation work we do. We don’t have a large organisation or regular funding behind us. The care we provide to vulnerable animals is made possible because people choose to support us. Billy’s recovery is going to be a journey, and we want to make sure he has everything he needs to stay healthy and continue growing into the happy, cheeky goat we know and love.
